I have never been that interested in autographs or meeting famous people. As a pilot and historian, the neatest experience I ever had with celebrities was meeting Tuskegee Airmen and Doolittle Raiders. I met the former at the Dayton Airshow (2003) and the latter at the Doolittle Reunion at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (2010).

The famous Red Tail P-51
I was a starstruck.

Wright Patterson Air Force Museum

The outside static display featured about 25 of the @40 B-25s (the bomber used during the Doolittle Raid) still airworthy
The kids had fun
But the coolest thing was getting to see the raiders. The line for autographs was over twelve hours long!!

License plates from the contiguous states (and Alaska)
Now if I could meet one of the WAC pilots......
